How to get back to work after after a summer holiday... Help!

Are you ready for the kids to go back to school or not ready for life to go back to the normal routine just yet?

Getting back to work after a summer holiday can be TOUGH. But, here are our top tips to help you smoothly transition back in to your routine:

1. Routine - Get back to your routine as soon as you can.

A few days before you're due to go back to work/kids go back to school, start setting the alarm again (we know, it's not fun!). Also, get prepared and start planning out the diary and to-do list so you know what's coming up. You want to go in to your first day or first week feeling really prepared and organised. One less thing to worry about. Your future self will thank you.

2. Ignore the urge to tackle it all!

We know you might have the urge to get cracking on everything straight away, but for those first couple of days, that to-do list needs to have the absolute essential tasks. Ease back in slowly but still ensure important tasks get completed, first. Similar to the start of the year, you might want to kick start September by hitting the ground running. Pacing yourself is just as important to avoid burnout, so remember to prioritise!

3. Eat well and get your meals prepped

Getting back to work after a summer holiday may mean getting back to eating more nutrient-dense foods; a little less indulgent foods for a while! The night before, have a delicious and nutritious dinner to make you feel good. Meal-prepping is often talked about a lot, so have some lunch prepared for the first few days back so you've got something to look forward to!

4. Set some goals

Set some mini-goals which you can have to guide you and keep you motivated for that first week back. It gives you something to aim for and it's always a great feeling at the end of the week when you've achieved them.
